AR Rehman for Upendra's Next

Upendra is doing a remake of the Tamil Ajith starrer `Varalaru` in Kannada. AR Rehman has composed the tunes for the original and will do the same for the first time for this Kannada remake too. Rehman who normally charges 2-3 Crores for South Indian films has agreed for 1.5Cr for this project which will also get dubbed into Telugu.

K.Manju is producing this film which will be directed by Sethu Sriram who is close to the music maestro. AR Rehman will compose 6 original tunes for the film and Upendra will write one of them.

Upendra plays the lead in the film, which has veteran actress Jayamalas daughter Soundarya making her film debut.
