ABO Review : 'Kanche'
NoImage

By OM

Krish`s `Kanche` is a Good, Daring and Different Attempt although it appeals to limited audiences. An Appreciable Effort to offer Quality content for Telugu audiences.

Story :

The film is set in World war 2 Era, tracking the Love story of Hari Babu (Varun Tej) and Seetha (Pragya ) with a Caste Angle and also Hari Babu`s struggle as a soldier in the War, in 2 Parallel Tracks.

Analysis :

First things First. `Kanche` is not every body`s cup of tea and it will receive extreme reactions ranging from Poor to Excellent depending on personal tastes and preferences. This Writer liked the film for what it was, for the Technical Brilliance and for staying true to the subject. It would be hypocritical to brand regular films as routine and different attempts as not appealing enough to mainstream.

The Film right from the start, showcases 2 parallel tracks depicting the Love Story & War drama. The Dialogues and Music are nothing short of excellent in this well etched emotional Drama of a brave soldier who fights till his last breath. 1st half of the film is especially very good and 2nd half is Okay. The film is poetic at several key moments with lot of depth in writing. War scenes have come out pretty well and supported well by an Epic Background score. The Love Story has been dealt well too barring for the slow pace then and there. It is a Pretty good film when compared to our Mainstream films but obviously isn`t appealing enough to all audiences. If you are one who is tired of Routine stuff and dying to experience some thing new ( to Telugu) ?, this is for you. Don`t Miss it!.

Performances:

Varun Tej is brilliant and delivered a surprisingly matured and fabulous performance. He has good intensity and screen presence and is apt with good diction too. Pragya Jaiswal suited the Character well and is good too. Niketan Dheer is fine. Srinivas Avasarala, Gollapudi and other Supporting Cast is more than Adequate.

Technical Departments:

Music: Chirantan Bhatt`s Music is pretty good and Sound track is superb.

Stunts: One to one and War Sequences have come out fairly well.

Cinematography:  Cool job and is a plus.

Editing: Adequate.
