Potugadu is a massy romantic entertainer with stylish songs. Worth a watch for Youth & Masses.

Story: The film deals with love life of Govind ( Manoj), a play boy. The guy loves 4 girls Vaidehi, Mumtaj, Stacy & Mary one after other but decides to go for suicide in the end, why?.

Story & Screen Play : The story chosen is novel and was presented in a stylish manner with Good songs, decent laughs & fights.

Performances :

Manoj did a splendid job as Govind. He has a superb comic timing and does dances & fights with ease. But the bad part is he goes on and on over acting with his imitating stuff. Posani as Software Raja and the Heroines are adequate. Sakshi as Mary is a miscast, which spoils the hit song `Devatha` for the audience.

Songs & Background Music : Achu`s Songs are good and are a plus for the Movie. Pyaar mein Padipoya mai & Bujji Pilla are well shot. BGM is loud and over the top.

Visuals: Adequate.

Direction : Okay.

Plus : Songs, Dailogues, Story & Manoj.

Minus : Predictable & Irritating imitations.

Potugadu, remake of Kannada Hit, Govindaya Namaha was made on a medium budget but biggest ever for Manoj. The film may turn out be a decent earner. But, it might end up as another average fare commercially since Families are likely to stay away.
