Magadheera - A rare occurrence in telugu industry where a film made with utmost budget gives almost double the amount what has been invested into it. Magadheera - A film which made the entire nation stand up and take notice at the film making prowess of the telugu film industry. Magadheera - A film which was supposed to be released in tamil after the super success of it`s telugu version. A tamil version which is yet to become a reality.
What is the reason behind this unusual delay ?, Read on...
Magadheera was released on 29th of july 2009 and turned out be the biggest blockbuster ever produced by telugu film industry. Owing to its unprecedented success, the producers Geetha Arts planned to dub this film into tamil so that Ramcharan Tej can get a headway into the lucrative tamil movie market. But the same is yet to happen 2 years down the lane, Why?. The real story behind this unusual delay in the release of Maaveeran ( tamil title ) is being presented to our beloved readers today.
Aarya-2 starring allu arjun was also planned for Tamil release by Allu Aravid so that his son gets some market in tamil nadu as well. For this very reason Maaveeran which was ready for release was stopped so that Arjun gets a foothold into the market before Ramcharan Tej. But the film turned out to be dud and the plans were put on hold and Maaveeran had to wait for the Geetha Arts scion to get a decent debut into tamil land.
4 months later much hyped Varudu arrived and met the same fate. Varudu was rather meticulously planned during filming for a bilingual release. They roped in Tamil actor Arya as a villain paying a bomb (2 crores), so that he will be helpful in the tamil version. Alas !! The film turned out to be the biggest dud in the career of allu arjun. So maaveeran was once again forced to wait for a release. Allu scion comes first for geetha arts in this aspect.
Note : Vedam being a multistarrer was never in contention for Tamil release.
There is an alleged rift in the mega family right now and the root cause is rumoured to be the release issue of Maaveeran. At the time of release of Orange Tamil Dub offers poured in for the producer Nagendra Babu. Ramcharan losing patience due to the never ending delay in Maaveran`s release offered Geetha Arts that he is ready to takeover the rights for what ever price they are willing to sell the movie for and will release it on his own. Immediately, Geetha arts went onto defensive and promised him a release in December`10. And GA even aired a trailer in tamil to satiate Ram charan who was vexed with this delay in release . Now we are into summer`11 and there is no talk of a release yet.
Orange didn’t have a release in Chennai and haven’t been dubbed in Tamil either due to the flase promises made by Geetha Aarts regarding Maaveeran. Producer Nagendra Babu lost around 2 crores due to rejecting Tamil rights offer of Orange!.
The latest version making rounds in film circles is that the film will not see daylight in Tamil nadu as long as Allu arjun does not score a hit worthy of a release in tamil. They are hoping for the same to happen with Badrinath and ironically Maaveeran`s release is based on it`s success. Anybody who is going to claim falsity in any part of this story can come up with a release date of maaveeran and show us that it will be anywhere before the release of Badrinath!!. A Few days ago Allu Sirish in his twitter account tweeted that ‘Thr are some idiots in DBs and Orkut disguising themselves as "megafans" trying to create rifts & differences by spreading rumors. Careful! “
In fact it is the Allu Family in Mega Musugu trying to promote their own son in Tamilnadu denying Ramcharan the first mover advantage with the best possible release in Maaveeran.
Hail Allu Aravid and the intelligence of Geetha Arts !!!.
Magadheera was formally started on March2, 2008 and released in telugu on July 31 2009, that is in 17 Months.
But the tamil version is yet to release even after 19 months of its telugu release. great !!.
Allu Family and Geetha Aarts are clearly cheating Mega Fans in denying Magadheera, its righful Tamil Release for 19 Long months.
