The Telugu version of Vijay's 'Theri' was going to release as 'Policeodu'. This title was decided by Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu. However, the title has now been changed after Police Organisations met Mr. Dil Raju and explained their reservations about the title. The movie will now be titled 'Police' in Telugu and it will release as usual on April 15th The movie has completed its censor formalities and it has been given a U certificate by the board.

" Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu decided to name Theri as "Policeodu" in Telugu. We are just releasing the film here. A few police organisations met me and raised some objections, stating that their feelings were hurt with the title. We respect those sentiments and we have communicated them to the production unit. The film will now be released as Police", said Dil Raju.

Sri Venkateswara Creations and Kalaipuli S Thanu will be releasing the Telugu version of the film. Atlee, who shot to fame with 'Raja Rani', made this film with a big budget and high technical values.

Vijay, Samantha, Amy Jackson, Prabhu, Radhika, Mahendran and other senior actors are playing important roles in this 

movie.
