In 2011, Fox Star Studios “Rio” became a worldwide smash with a global box office tally of $486 million. It also was a huge hit on DVD and Blu-ray disc. For all you movie lovers out there, the sequel RIO 2 is all set for release, coming to theatres near you on 11th April 2014!.

 Rio 2 which is one of the most anticipated Hollywood family entertainers in India, is an adventure comedy set in the Brazilian city of Rio De Janeiro! The tropical troupe of lovable, eccentric animals that danced their way into people’s hearts in RIO is back for an even wilder 3d comedy adventure! Blu is headed into the exotic wilderness of the amazon, where he will have to meet his in-laws and learn to fit in with a whole new crew of crazy creatures while fending off ever-more-outrageous attacks by his nemesis Nigel…all to the tune of the most infectious songs yet. Starring an elite ensemble cast of Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, Will I Am, Jamie Foxx,George Lopez, Jemaine Clement, Andy Garcia, Kristin Chenoweth, Bruno Mars and Janelle Monae, RIO 2 features the return of Blu, Jewel and their three kids who leave their domesticated life for a journey to Amazon rainforest! 

And…what's a first for Hollywood and Bollywood, RIO 2 will see two of Bollywood's leading actors feature as the main voices for the dubbed Hindi version!! Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan will feature as the lovable and memorable macaws Jewel and Blu respectively, for RIO 2’s Hindi version! The English version of the movie will see the voices of Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg again which will be dubbed in Hindi by Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan! Though in the past B-town actors have lent their voices on a small scale, this is the first time such a huge Bollywood association has taken place for a Hollywood franchise.
