ABO Review : 'Mahanati'

`Mahanati` is an Outstanding Bio(e)pic.

Story:

In 1981, Journalist Madhuravani (Samantha) begins researching on Actress Savitri (Keerthy) for her story. After getting to know her, she becomes even more intrigued by her rise towards Stardom and the personal nitty-gritty.

Performances:

Keerthy Suresh steals all the limelight and lived in the role of `Savitri`. She holds the film together well and makes the audience glued to the screen. Dulquer did a fabulous job. Samantha, Rajendra Prasad and Vijay Deverakonda also got important roles and are good. Prakash Raj, Shalini Pandey, Divyavani, Thanikella, Naresh & Bhanupriya are adequate. Mohan Babu, Naga Chaitanya, Malavika Nair, Avasarala & Krish make cameo appearances.

Technical Departments:

Music: Good. Background Score is a Major asset.

Cinematography: Excellent.

Editing: Good.

Analysis:

Visualizing, Executing and Convincingly Pulling off a Biopic of an Yester-year Star in this magnitude will need lots of Research, Hard-work and a lot of other things working in your favor. Nag Ashwin has successfully pulled-off this Monumental Classic which will be remembered for a long time to come. Right from the Star Cast to the Climax everything worked out magically well for `Mahanati`, and you can hardly feel its 177 Minutes long Run-time. A Roller-coaster Ride of emotions with a Worthy Story and Excellent Screen-play, this is a must watch Bio(e)pic.
