ABO Review : Master

`Master` is an Average Action Duel!.

Story :

JD (Vijay), a drunkard professor gets posted to a correction center to reform juvenile criminals using whom Bhavani (Sethupathi) runs his small criminal enterprises. It becomes JD vs Bhavani eventually and the rest is about how JD ends Bhavani.

Performances:

This is another easy-peasy character for Vijay who excels. Sethupathi steals the show with a strong screen presence. Malavika in a limited role is decent. Supporting Cast are adequate.

Technical Departments:

Music: Good. Background score is too good.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Okay.

Stunts: Way Over The Top at times. Couple of Good ones.

Analysis :

`Master` is a Stylish Action Drama with a single point storyline of Hero vs Villain. The film`s 1st half is pretty decent but the 2nd half falls flat with predictable and uneven narration despite some high moments. Unlike regular commercial films, `Master` has a Star Villain and it works in its favour making the ordinary writing look good on-screen. Vijay`s Charisma is anyway an asset and it might be a passable watch if you are a fan of the Commercial Potboilers.

Box-office Verdict :

Master Requires around around 8-9 Cr Share to cross the line in Telugu States and the film is highly likely to do the same with the opening being very good.
