Here's What Legend needs to be safe

Legend as it might appear and being told in Media is far from being a Hit yet. The film was made on a budget close to 40Cr.  Generally Distributors profitability will be key but Legend hasn`t been sold in half of the areas. Lets just look it from a Theatrical + Non T revenues perspective first and then Distributors. It Generally doesn`t work that way but since the budget being very high for a Balayya starer and Producer having kept many areas for himself, lets look it from a Producer perspective like `1 Nenokkadine`.

Prints, Publicity & Promotions will take the total Budget of Legend to upto 44Cr and may be even more but lets just stick to 44Cr for time being as we don`t have the exact number. The film`s Satellite rights have been sold to Gemini TV for 5.5Cr. Although makers expected in 8Cr range, the recent only 12 min adverts rule of I&B Ministry have taken a hit on Satellite prices and 5.5Cr is fair enough deal. Audio & Other non- theatrical rights are expected to fetch 1.5 crore more. So Legend needs to recover 37 Cr from Theatrical Avenues for break even, that is after Distributor commissions in areas not sold like Nizam. At the end of the day it seems, Legend must cross 40Cr WW Share mark to be termed as a Hit. a 38-39Cr would do for a safe status.

Whether or not it will cross these mark`s largely depends on 2nd week.
