ABO Review : 'Upendra 2'

`Upendra 2 is a Philosophical and Psychological Drama.

Story :

`Upendra 2` discusses the Philosophy and Psychology of the Human society. An Young girl (Kristina) is after a Man with an Extremely Unselfish attitude and entirely Generous Nature (Upendra), also called as `Neevu` (You). What is his back-story and why is she after him forms the rest.

Performances:

Upendra did well as usually with Multiple shades of his Characters. There`s nothing much to talk about the supporting Cast or leading ladies who are very average and at times poor.

Technical Departments:

Music: Gurukiran`s Music is rather average and songs are passable on screen if not entirely good.

Cinematography: Average.

Editing: Adequate.

Action: Clearly run-off the mill and cliched.

Analysis :

`Upendra 2` chooses to confuse the audience with complicate subject rather making its intentions and message clear. The 1st half is comparatively better with good suspense. It is from then is a largely boring affair having no story or conclusion, leaving the audience with an open ending. A Few good scenes then and there rekindles the interest temporarily but the Climax leaves audience disappointed. The film has a couple of typical scenes of Upendra taken from his old Hits and that`s all about it. There is no clarity of thought in Screen-play which ultimately confuses and ends up slightly irritating the General audience. There are several sub-plots which have been opened but ultimately without any relevance to the actual story.

1. Confusions Galore.

2. Limited appeal.

Box-office Verdict :

The film is receiving largely below par word of mouth reports and is unlikely to make much impact at the Box-office. May get a Decent opening weekend though!.

Bottom Line: Typical Uppi, Beware!.
