ABO Review : 'Jayasurya '

`Jayasurya` is an average Cop-Crime Drama.

Tamil Dubbed from `Paayum Puli`. Rated `U` with 137 Minutes run-time.

Story :

Jayasurya (Vishal) arrives in a Town crippled with Ransom Calls & Killings and starts hunting the baddies one by one. Even after Eliminating the main ones, the calls continue. Who is the actual kingpin and how Jayasurya cracks the issue forms the rest.

Performances:

Vishal did a fine job and is at ease as a Cop. Kajal is good with her limited role. Samuthirakani excels, Soori & Murali Sharma are adequate. Rest of the supporting cast are okay.

Technical Departments:

Music: Imman`s tunes are passable, Background Score is good.

Cinematography: Adequate.

Editing: Adequate.

Action: Okay and over the top at times.

Analysis :

Jayasurya is almost an Investigative Drama for a large part. It is the remaining Sub-plots which aren`t as good as the Main Drama letting down the film to an extent. 1st half is strictly average but ends with a promising Interval. 2nd half is comparatively better and is Okay. It is an average Cop/crime Drama with ages old story & racy screen-play. This might appeal to Masses to an extent and that will be all. Dubbing Quality generally good in Vishal starers isn`t upto the mark in this one. It is especially bad in Lyrics and Action sound track(voices). Nevertheless, an average flick on the whole and appeals to limited audiences.

The film is receiving average reports and might pull in masses for the weekend and that will be all.
