ABO Review : 'Shivam'

Ram`s `Shivam` is a strictly average Commercial Entertainer which works only in Parts.

Story :

Shiva (Ram) likes to help dejected Lovers who are scared to marry bounded by Family imitations. After one such act of his irritates a Big shot, he runs away for the dust to settle in. In the meantime, He gets into tiff with some baddies whose ego gets badly bruised and they are now gunning for revenge. Shiva also meets his Love (Raashi ) coincidentally and goes after to win her over. How he comes out of this mess and the backstory behind his acts forms the rest.

Performances:

Ram gave an Energetic Performance and is good with his Dances & Emotions as well. Raashi did a fairly decent job and looks Fab. Abhimanyu Singh is more than Adequate. Brahmi is as usually good. The rest are adequate.

Technical Departments:

Music: DSP`s Tunes are Good and a couple of songs with great locales are good on-screen. Back ground score is fine.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Adequate.

Stunts: Over the top at times, Okay.

Analysis :

`Shivam` is a pure commercial entertainer. 1st half is manageable and shows some promise. 2nd half is a dragged affair with unexciting story. It is Average to below affair thanks to Comedy & Music which save it from ending as a poor one. There is Entertaining narration and good Music in the film whole through but there isn`t strong story or emotion to back that up. The Debutant director has failed in executing his ideas on-screen confusing himself with commercial elements. On the positive side, Few episodes are shot well and the initial buildup and few characterizations were good. You might try it if you have lots of time to kill but you won`t miss much if you choose to skip this.

1. Comedy.

2. Music.

Minus:

1. Unexciting Concept.

2. Dragged 2nd Half.

Box-office Verdict :

With 3 Consecutive Biggies ahead, it is almost impossible to survive at the Box-office with this content.
