ABO Review : 'Tripura'

`Tripura` is more of a Comedy Thriller let down by lack of strong Horror element.

Story :

Tripura (Swathi) is a Gifted young Lady who gets Dreams foreseeing the future, which her Family thinks is a Medical Disorder. She Falls for her Doctor (Naveen Chandra) and ends up marrying him. Tripura then starts getting dreams about Specific people getting killed which turns out to be true. How and why are they getting killed for forms the rest.

Performances:

Swathi Reddy is fine and is good as Village Belly. Naveen is Adequate. Saptagiri is a show stealer. Rao Ramesh and other supporting cast are adequate.

Technical Departments:

Music: Decent Background Score but boring songs.

Cinematography: So-so.

Editing: Adequate.

Thrills: Ordinary, hardly scary or surprising.

Analysis :

`Tripura` follows the same Template of `Geethanjali`. The film takes its characters from Comparatively Different backgrounds and assembles them all for a typical 2nd half which falls flat lacking any interesting Horror elements. The film`s 1st half is slightly better and is watchable having decent comedy thanks to Saptagiri who is a saving grace. A Fairly interesting plot of Foreseeing Future in Dreams has been wasted in this soul-less thriller. Watch it if you have lots of time to kill.

1. Lack of proper Thrill Elements.

2. Routine Template screen-play.

Rating: 2.5 / 5 ( Strictly for Comedy )

Box-office Verdict :

The film isn`t receiving Positive reports from Public and might end up as a failure at the Box-office considering Multiple Releases lined-up immediately.

Bottom Line : Geethanjali 2.
