ABO Review : 'ISM'

`ISM` is a Socially Relevant Action Drama stressing on Corruption & Black Money.

Story :

Kalyan Ram, the son of a honest journalist is into illegal, one to one fights in Tenerife Island. Javed (Jagapathi Babu) is a renowned & notorious Mafia don. Kalyan Who comes across Alia (Aditi Arya), Javed`s Daughter, falls for her and starts stalking. Who really is Kalyan after and why forms the rest.

Performances:

Kalyan Ram has gone through a complete transformation and this is more of a relaunch for the actor. His characterization and attitude are the only things that keep the film going despite flaws & limitations. Jagapathi did a good Job and is especially cool. Aditi makes a confident debut and fits the bill. Posani, Thanikella, JP, Ali , Vennela Kishore and most of the other Supporting cast are fine.

Technical Departments:

Music: Anup`s tunes are adequate and songs on screen are visually rich.

Cinematography: Cool.

Editing: Good.

Action: adequate.

Writing : Could have been better & convincing.

Direction : Average.

Analysis :

`ISM` is not just another routine action/revenge drama. The film has enough story and characters in it to be worth a watch. It is the not so convincing narration which has limited the film`s appeal and connect to the paying public. The pre-climax episode and the last half an hour of the flick are in a different zone and makes it what it is at the end of the day. The romantic parts could have been better, nevertheless the film hardly has have any dull moments. ISM may not be every body`s cup of tea but as a socially relevant commercial flick it might be worth a watch.

Box-office Verdict :

The film Considering the Content has potential to do well in A centers. This may end as an average earner at the BoxOffice considering the limitations content wise.
