ABO Review : 'LIE'

`LIE` is an Interesting Spy Thriller with a dash of Romance. A Good attempt which works to an extent.

Story :

National Intelligence is searching for an Unknown Criminal Mastermind Padmanabham (Arjun) from 2 decades. They decide to send an agent to US after getting an Important Lead.

Satyam (Nithin) decides to ape his college friend and settle in US by marrying a Foreign girl. He meets Chaitra (Megha), his companion for the Trip and they eventually fall in love. But Satyam gets entangled in the Mission of Indian Intelligence. Why Really is Satyam here?, forms the rest.

Performances:

Arjun steals the limelight with this dominating show. Nithiin in a Total Makeover of sorts is good too. Megha hasn`t got much scope and is ordinary. Ravi Kishan, Sriram and Nasser did a fine job. Madhu Nandan is ordinary.

Technical Departments:

Music: Background score is good.

Cinematography: Great.

Editing: Adequate.

Action: Cool.

Analysis :

Fab Production Values and the Mind Games make LIE what it is. The film rides on the interesting characterization of its antagonist and is good in parts. It was shot in good picturesque locations all over USA and has an interesting 1st half. The film could have been better with its Romance. There has been plenty of good work in the Technical Departments and especially in `Make-up`. Nithiin`s dual shades keep the film going despite ups and downs. This might be worth a try if you are looking for a break from Regular Potboilers.
