ABO Review : 'Okka Kshanam'

`Okka Kshanam` is an Engaging Conceptual Thriller.

Story :

Jeeva (Sirish) and Jo (Surbhi) fall for each other in a `Love-at-first-sight` Scenario. They also meet each other`s families who are supportive of their relationship. When all seem to be going well, they come across a couple in Jo`s Gated Community who are going through a Rough Phase. Out of curiosity, they learn more about the couple and realize both their stories are very very similar. Can Jeeva and Jo fight against their own Destiny?.

Performances:

Sirish continues to improve as an actor and did a Decent job. He`s particularly good in Emotional Episodes. Surbhi and Seerat are adequate and Srinivas Avasarala is good.

Technical Departments:

Action : Adequate.

Music: Songs are Okay and BGM is Very Good.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Adequate.

Analysis :

Director Vi Anand has handled the Core parts of this Thriller well. The film takes it own time to establish the characters and the Parallel life concept and is fairly engaging from then on. `Okka Kshanam` has an interesting screen-play which keeps the film going despite its share of flaws. The Romantic parts could have been handled better. Pre-Interval and Pre-Climax Parts Run high on emotions and Mani Sharma`s Background Score helped the film a lot. On the whole, `Okka Kshanam` is a pretty much watchable affair for its Novel Theme and Screen-play.

Rating: 3 / 5 (Watchable)

Box-office Verdict :

Although the film is receiving Okay to Good reports, it hasn`t opened on the same level at the Box-office. It probably has the potential to grow from here and all depends on how fast it can pick-up in the New Year Extended Weekend.
