ABO Review : 'Srinivasa Kalyanam'

`Srinivasa Kalyanam` is an Overtly Preachy Family Drama.

Story :

Vasu (Nithin) is an architect who gives importance to family values and traditional rituals. Sri (Rashi Khanna) comes from an Uber-rich Business family of RK (Prakash Raj), a complete polar opposite of Vasu`s family and values money & time over everything else. Vasu and Sri fall for each other and eventually both families give their nod. How RK realizes the importance of family and traditional values forms the rest.

Performances:

Nithiin is pretty ordinary barring climax. Raashi is pretty and adequate. Prakash Raj walks away with all the honors with a good convincing performance. Nandita Swetha and Jayasudha play important roles and are good too. Rajendra Prasad, Naresh, Sithara, Aamani, Poonam Kaur and etc., are adequate.

Technical Departments:

Music: Ordinary except the Blockbuster Title Song.

Cinematography: Adequate.

Editing: Adequate.

Analysis :

`Srinivasa Kalyanam` is a 140 minutes long Family Drama explaining Traditional Values, Telugu Marriage Rituals and the Benefits of a Joint Family. The film has an interesting concept but was let down by its bland narration. A Better and engaging Screen-play with convincing emotions and simpler dialogues would have made this a Pretty Good film. A Praise Worthy Title song and Climax Episode are the saving graces of this Overtly Preachy film which at times tests your patience.
