ABO Review : 'Peta'

`Peta` is Vintage Rajni in a Routine Action Revenge Drama. Style without Substance.

Story :

Kaali (Rajinikanth) becomes the Warden of a College Hostel and helps out students in problems. But everything isn`t what it seems when people come after Kaali for standing up for a young couple. The rest is all about his past and how he manages present threats.

Performances:

Rajini is at his stylish best and did all he can to please and satisfy his fans. The film features a lot of prominent actors like Vijay Sethupati, Nawazuddin, Sasi Kumar, Bobby Simha, Malavika Mohanan in supporting roles and their performances are a big positive to the film. Simran, Trisha and Megha make guest appearances.

Technical Departments:

Music: Good. Background score is Superb.

Cinematography: Adequate.

Editing: Good.

Analysis :

Raini`s Peta aims to cash in on the Old Rajini`s Style and Charisma but delivers only partly with the later half turning tedious. The film`s 1st half is decent and pleases both the fans and general audience. But things go down south in the 2nd half with outdated story and dragged narration taking center stage. Peta is for Rajini`s fans and may also appeal to a section of Masses. You may try it but not going to miss much anyway.
