ABO Review : 'Maharshi '

`Maharshi` is an Ordinary Multi-Genre Drama.

Story :

Rishi (Mahesh) who is from a Middle class Background goes onto become the CEO of a Leading American MNC, `Origin`. After a get-together reminds him of his close friend Ravi (Allari Naresh), he leaves to India. After coming to know about Ravi`s ongoing struggle against a corporate honcho, Rishi decides to support him and his village. Rest is about how Rishi succeeds challenging the Establishment.

Performances:

Mahesh Babu leaves a good impact. Allari Naresh impresses as well, in a meaty role. Pooja Hegde is ordinary along with Jagapathi Babu. Rao Ramesh, Posani, Prakashraj, Jayasudha, Vennela Kishore and other supporting cast are adequate.

Technical Departments:

Music: Ordinary. Background score is fine.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Adequate.

Stunts: Good.

Analysis :

Maharshi seems to be inspired by Multiple films and this makes the film`s task a little difficult to satisfy the audience. This is probably a decent watch with its share of flaws and a little shorter and engaging version would have been ideal. Exploring multiple topics like Education, Corporatization and Farming, it seems like a well knit script on paper but the execution is ordinary. `Maharshi` has a few highs here and there and a couple good episodes towards the end. This isn`t a bad film, but is a good attempt which isn`t up-to the mark.

With WW Telugu Theatricals Value at around 100 Crore, this may end as an Average at best.
