ABO Review : 'Dorasaani'

`Dorasaani` is a Rustic Period Love Saga!.

Story :

In the 80/90`s Rural Telangana, Devika aka Dorasaani (Shivathmika Rajashekar), a rich Landlord`s Daughter falls for Raju (Anand Deverakonda) from a Poor Family. Impressed by Raju`s poetry, Dorasaani aims to raise above the caste and class barriers. Did their love succeed?.

Performances:

Shivathmika makes a great debut and steals the show with a fabulous performance. She is here to stay!. Anand could have been better but is okay. Kishore plays a good supporting role. Other Cast are adequate and authentic.

Technical Departments:

Music: Major Plus.

Cinematography: Okay.

Editing: Adequate.

Analysis :

`Dorasaani` is a Rustic Period Love Saga also exploring the feudalistic nature of the Telangana society back then. The film takes its own time and is good on emotions driven by Shivathmika`s performance. It has a fairly interesting 1st half and the 2nd half runs in predictable fashion. On the flip-side, a well known supporting cast and gripping narration could have made this a far better product. Nevertheless, for its authentic story telling and emotional undercurrent, this may still be Worth a try!.

Box-office Verdict :

An own Release. This may not make much impact due to its limited appeal, which needs an ultra Positive Word of mouth.
