‘Evaru` is an Engaging Investigative Thriller!.

Story : 

Sameera (Regina Cassandra) is the main accused in the suspicious killing of DSP Ashok (Naveen Chandra). A corrupt cop Vikram Vasudev (Adivi Sesh) is hired by Sameera`s lawyer to prepare her for the impending investigation. But everything is not what it seems and She has a lot to hide. Uncovering the truth and conspiracy forms the rest.

Performances:

Regina steals the show with a compelling act and surprises every one. Sesh is ordinary for the major part of the film. Naveen Chandra is good and convincing. Murali Sharma and other supporting cast are adequate.

Technical Departments:

Music:  Decent. Background score is a plus.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Adequate.

Analysis : 

`Evaru` is clearly an adaptation of Spanish Thriller `The Invisible Guest` aka `Contratiempo` based on which `Badla` (Hindi) was also made. The film has its core Story intact but characterisations and motives have been changed. The 1st half is ordinary and the 2nd half is good. Twists and turns through out the film make it an engaging investigative thriller. On the flip-side, it might get a little confusing at times with repeated narration of an event from multiple perspectives. Nevertheless, this is a pretty much watchable affair and the Thrill quotient will be missing only if you have watched the original.
