ABO Review : 'Romantic'

‘Romantic` : Mass Romantic Actioner!.

Story :

Set in Goa, Vasco Da Gama (Akash Puri) aims to earn big enough money that can establish a charity and build his neighborhood better. He becomes a smuggler and eventually becomes so rich that the police start to chase him. On the other had, he has a lustful relationship with Monica (Ketika Sharma) which becomes intertwined with the chase and forces him to take extreme steps.

Performances:

Akash Puri shines with his dialogue delivery and did well in romantic episodes but is too young to be convincing as a gangster. Ketika Sharma`s Character plays to the galleries and it works. Ramya Krishnan is good but is let down by writing which didn`t manage to use her prowess impactfully.

Technical Departments:

Music: Decent.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Decent.

Analysis :

Romantic is a cocktail of Romance, Action and other Mass Commercial Elements. The film has its moments but the lows outnumber the highs leading to a mixed overall impact which ends leaving you with an incomplete feel. It has Good dialogues, Decent Music and lots of skin show aimed at the youth and masses. Puri may still have partially succeeded but the film`s illogical story line and repetitive action scenes let it down. You may try it at your own risk.
