ABO Review : 'Lakshya'

‘Lakshya` is an Ineffective Sports Drama!.

Story :

Pardhu (Naga Shaurya) aims to be an archer to realize the unfulfilled dreams of his father. His grandfather (Sachin Khedkar) sacrifices everything towards this dream and Pardhu becomes the state champion. But a Personal loss affects Pardhu and he loses focus. The rest is his journey towards winning the world championship.

Performances:

Naga Shourya seems to have worked hard and is decent. Sachin Khedkar is elegant. Ketika Sharma is let down by weak writing. Jagapathi Babu makes a positive impact. Shatru as the main baddie is okay.

Technical Departments:

Music: Weak.

Cinematography: Decent.

Editing: Ordinary.

Stunts : Average.

Analysis :

Making an impactful film on archery is always going to be tough due to the limitations of the sport to dramatize the happenings for the big screen. `Lakshya` falters here due to boring narration without emotional connect. It has its moments in the latter parts but its too little too late to make any difference to the overall impact. A Bit of Half decent Comedy or Music would have helped this become at least a bearable watch.
