‘Radhe Shyam` :  An Ineffective Saga of Epic Romance!

Story : 

In 1970`s Europe, Vikramaditya (Prabhas) is a famous Palmist. He meets Prerana (Pooja) in Italy and love starts to blossom. Prerana (Pooja) also eventually falls for him but the fate has a few hurdles lined up. Can they overcome and succeed in love?

Performances:

Prabhas plays the romantic lover boy and carries it well with his charming screen presence. Pooja Hegde is alright but their chemistry could have been better.  Krishnam Raju, Sachin Khedkar, Bhagyashree, Jagapathi babu, Priyadarshi, Riddhi Kumar and others are adequate.

 

Technical Departments:

 

Music: Fairly Good but lacked that exciting Chartbuster!

Cinematography: Excellent.

Editing: Good.

Analysis : 

Rich Production values and Visual grandeur are the backbone of this high cost, experimental Romantic Epic Saga. The film is mounted on a lavishly ambitious scale never seen before in the Romantic genre on Indian Screen. This had its good moments and flaws in equal measure and leaves the audience with an incomplete feel. Especially the 2nd half could have been better and the much hyped Ship Episode didn’t live up to the humungous expectations. Nevertheless, this isn’t a bad film at all and the Team deserves appreciation for trying out something fresh.

Box-office Verdict : 

At Almost 210 Cr WW Theatricals, this is unlikely to succeed.
