ABO Review: 'God Father'

`God Father` is a Gripping Political Drama!

Story:

The Chief Minister of Telangana, PKR passes away leaving a tussle for the key post open and a game of thrones ensues inside his Political Party between Brahma (Chiranjeevi), Satya (Nayanthara) and her husband Jai (Satyadev). The Rest is how Brahma unites the PKR family and thwarts the evil designs of Jai.

Performances:

Megastar Chiranjeevi played his age with a lot of grace. He is quite effective in emoting with his body language. Satyadev holds his own and turned out to be a very capable antagonist. Nayanthara makes her presence felt in a dignified role. Salman Khan appears in an extended cameo. Murali Sharma, Samuthirakani, Sunil, Divi, Anasuya and other supporting cast are more than adequate. Director Puri played a Journo.

Technical Departments:

Music: Decent with a Good Background Score.

Cinematography: Good.

Editing: Good.

Action: Slick and Stylish.

Analysis:

`God Father` has a Solid 1st Half followed by an Average to Decent 2nd Half. The Tug of War and Mind Games between the lead actors run the show and the Director has largely succeeded with his Gripping Narration. On the flipside, a few forced songs dilute the overall impact and make it a Decent one-time match instead of being an outright Recommended one.
