ABO Mini Review : Madras Cafe

Madras Cafe is a riveting & thrilling political war based Drama which tries to explore the developments leading to Rajiv G`s assasination. It is just a version of history which is less controversial but convincing for the general folks.

Story : Amidst the raging Lankan Tamil Civil War, then Indian PM tries his best for peace & democracy to resurface in the Island by deploying Indian Army & Intelligence. But, there is a mole in the Intelligence and the Indian Govt`s failure to achieve its objective makes PM to resign. Lankan Tamil leader enraged by all these plots for the assassination.

Story & Screen Play : This is not a real story of what happened. It is just a version of what might have happened and is interesting to watch. A Perfect screen play makes it exciting to watch.

Visuals : Wow!, Lush green locales, Civl war bodies & Real Brain storming sessions. Good.

Performances : John Abraham is simply superb in the film. Nargis and the rest are adequate.

Direction : Shoojit sircar is a master of a story teller. Even though you can expect what may happen next you will still be interested and engaged to the next scene. He maintained the tempo of the film quite well and needs to be appreciated.

Music & BGM : This isn`t your regular commercial stuff, so no songs in it. BGM by Shantanu Moitra is Very Good and deserves credit for an exciting film.

Plus : Real events, Dailogues, Narration & BGM.

Minus : Less convincing & Predictable.

Overalla Rating : 4 / 5 ( A Must watch ).
