ABO Review : 'SIR`

`SIR` is a Decent, Message Driven, Social Drama!

Story:

Balu (Dhanush) is a Junior Lecturer at one of the Colleges owned by Tripathi (Samuthirakani) Group. To stop Government`s Fees Regulations Bill, The Private college managements offer to take over and run several government colleges in the remote areas. Balu is sent off to one such Government college where students are least bothered about their studies. How he reforms them against odds and all the evil designs of Tripathi form the rest.

Performances:

Dhanush leads the film well and especially impresses in the emotional scenes with a spirited and natural performance. Samuthirakani is ordinary as the main antagonist. Samyuktha Menon is a misfit, and a more matured female actor was needed. Sai Kumar, Hyper Aadi and other supporting cast are adequate. Sumanth makes a Decent cameo.

Technical Departments:

Music: Decent with Good Background Score.

Cinematography: Decent.

Editing: Good.

Action: Over the Top.

Analysis:

`SIR` is a Decent and Message Driven Drama focusing on Private Education Mafia. The film has genuine intentions, a couple of impactful episodes and delivered the message well with a balanced approach. On the flipside, the production design hasn`t managed to set the right periodic mood and the making quality also looked very ordinary. Overall, this has been a decent watch which had scope to be a lot better.
