Review : Gaalipatam
Gaalipatam is a Bold & Matured Love Story which appeals to the Urban Cine-goers.
Karthi ( Aadi ) & Swathi ( Erica ) are a young ( Arranged) married couple!. An year after Marriage, they realize they are still stuck with their Past Lovers Paaru ( Kristina) & Arav ( Rahul ) !. What follows is a narration of their individual love stories and after they mutually decide to split to live happily with their Ex`s. What about families and how they react and how it all ends forms the rest.
Aadi is at ease with the Bachelor part but average as a Husband. Erica & Kristina are so so and Rahul is adequate. The rest of the cast are fine.
: Songs are decent on screen and BGM is cool.
: 135 Minutes but still should easily have been <2 hours especially after that Interval!.
Story,Screenplay & Direction
The film is not your typical Romantic Entertainer and is in some what Bold new format!. The Dialogues are impressive but the Execution is not upto the mark. Here the Director Naveen Gandhi is a Debutant and it shows.
Sampat Nandi`s writing some how managed to save the film and it is watchable. The 1st half starts off on a dull & artificial note but as the story progresses its get interesting till Interval. The 2nd half feel dragged but is manageable with Saptagiri Comedy and Climax is rushed.
The Makers have taken good care about Production Values and its worth a mention.
2. Novel Story
Rating: 3 / 5 ( You May Try it! )
The film appeals & is targeted at `A` Centres!. It stands a Decent chance with Good Publicity.
